Onelify is the habit tracker for people who are tired of overcomplicated apps that track twenty things and help with none.
Download on the App StoreThe premise is simple:
Pick one habit. Do it for 66 days. Watch it become who you are.
Decades of behavior research keep landing on the same conclusion: people who focus on a single behavior change succeed dramatically more often than people who try to change several at once. Onelify is built around this idea — by design, you can only track one habit at a time.
A widely cited study from University College London found that new behaviors take, on average, 66 days to become automatic. Not 21. Sixty-six. Onelify shows you exactly where you are on that journey.
• A single large "Done" button — tap once per day, that's it
• A streak counter that builds your momentum
• A 66-day grid that visualizes your full journey
• Optional daily reminders at the time you choose
Habit apps mostly fail for the same reason diets do: the plan is designed for the motivated version of you. The research points somewhere else.
Not 21 days — that figure comes from a 1960s surgeon's observation about patients adjusting to appearance changes, not from habit research. The study people should cite found a median around 66 days, with an enormous range from about 18 to 254 depending on the behaviour and the person.
Simple actions automate quickly. Complex ones take months. Expecting three weeks and quitting at week four is a scheduling error, not a character flaw.
A reliable cue. Habits are triggered by context, not by intention, which is why "after I pour my morning coffee, I will do X" outperforms "I will do X daily" in study after study.
Attaching a new behaviour to an existing routine borrows a cue that already fires without effort. You are not building a habit from nothing; you are extending one.
Both. A streak is a strong motivator while it is intact and a strong demotivator the moment it breaks — the all-or-nothing effect, where one missed day makes people abandon the whole thing.
The rule researchers and coaches converge on: never miss twice. One miss is noise; two is the start of a new pattern.
Usually because it is too big. Ambition sets the target at what you can do on a good day, and most days are not good days.
Shrink it until it is almost trivially easy, then let it grow. Two minutes of something beats thirty minutes of nothing, and it keeps the cue alive — which is the part that matters.
