Privacy Policy
The short version: our apps are built to work on your device. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who we are
BIR ("we", "us") is an independent software studio based in Türkiye. This policy covers every iOS application we publish on the Apple App Store.
Data we do not collect
Across our apps we do not collect, store or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Your contacts, messages, photos or files — unless you explicitly choose to use them inside the app, in which case they stay on your device
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) for cross-app or cross-site tracking
- Precise location data, unless an app's core feature requires it and you grant permission
Data processed on your device
Most of our apps process everything locally. Documents you scan, notes you write, media you edit and settings you choose are stored on your device (and in your own iCloud backup, if you have it enabled). We have no access to that content.
Permissions
When an app asks for a permission — camera, microphone, photo library, local network, notifications — it is because a specific feature needs it. You can decline, and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings. Declining a permission only disables the feature that needs it.
Purchases
All payments are handled by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales reports that do not identify individual customers.
Diagnostics
If you choose to share crash or usage diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash reports. These contain no personal information and are used solely to fix bugs.
Children
Apps we publish in the Kids category do not contain third-party advertising, do not collect personal information, and do not include external links outside a parental gate.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or share your information with data brokers, advertisers or analytics networks. Where an app connects to an external service to deliver a feature you requested (for example, a translation engine or a smart-home device on your own network), only the minimum data required for that request is sent.
This website
birsoftware.com counts page views using our own software, running on our own server. No third-party analytics service is involved and nothing about you is shared with anyone.
For each page view we record the page address, the site you arrived from (if any), the page language and your browser window width. We store a random identifier in your browser so that repeat visits are not counted as new people; it contains nothing about you and is not a cookie. We do not store your IP address, we do not build a profile, and we cannot identify you.
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, we record nothing at all. Clearing your browser storage removes the identifier.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export or delete. Deleting an app removes its data from your device. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
